Dear Friends,

Fr. Carlos Urrutigoity, the thrice-accused homosexual molester, was back in the public eye again yesterday on the Feast of the Assumption. Although Bishop James Timlin claims that Urrutigoity has been removed from any public priestly duties, Urrutigoity gave a very public address at the Society of St. John's formal unveiling of a new archway for the SSJ's chapel on their Shohola, Pennsylvania property. Urrutigoity also participated in the public liturgy connected with the unveiling. In other words, it's business as usual in the Diocese of Scranton where Bishop Timlin continues to protect the SSJ homosex cult.

Having received word of the public unveiling a few hours before the event began, I grabbed two protest signs and went over to the entrance of the SSJ's property to play "anti-sodomite minuteman." After word of my one-man picket got back to the SSJ, Fr. Dominic Carey came out to accuse me of trespassing. With an officious swish of his tailored cassock, Fr. Carey ordered me to get off the property even though I stood in the area between the road and the SSJ's property that belongs to the public domain. Seeing that I would not leave, Fr. Carey left to call the police. Chief Carney of the Shohola police arrived shortly thereafter and, after initially accepting Carey's false charge that I was trespassing and blocking traffic, Chief Carney eventually left me alone to continue my protest.

The most interesting part of my conversation with Chief Carney was when he began to argue the merits of the four lawsuits filed against the SSJ. At one point he even erroneously told me that one of the lawsuits has been dropped. What an upside-down world where the police take the side of the predator priests! Even so, I was sorry to see Chief Carney leave as his parked police car helped create a scene in front of the SSJ's entrance that had passing cars slowing down to see what all the commotion was about.

As you can see from the Scranton Times article--almost half of which deals with the protest and ongoing battle against the SSJ--Catholic donors continue to be deceived by the SSJ. The current superior general of the SSJ, Fr. Dominic O'Connor, who has played the role of designated liar for the SSJ in the past, informed the reporter that they have a "Midwestern developer" for their Shohola property, though of course the developer's name was not given. If you have not read the horror story told by the SSJ's former developer, you can find it at http://www.saintjustinmartyr.org/news/DeveloperResponds.html.
