Affidavit of Mr. Joseph Girod

Former Teacher of Gregorian Chant for the Society of St. John

As I had been depressed for a few years, I asked to speak to Fr. Urrutigoity. He gave me some advice, but also invited me to meet a friend of the Society of Saint John, who is both a musician (organist) and a psychotherapist: Mr. Walter Bahn. This man came one evening and we talked for half an hour. He started explaining to me that people are depressed because they do not know what they really want. For instance, he said, there are, in religious communities, some members who are "gay" and do not admit it, or sometimes, they are not accepted by their community. As I was puzzled, I pretended to be very interested in order to learn more about his theories. He admitted being homosexual himself, and claimed that this was always genetic, so that anyone who is homosexual cannot change, but he must accept living it through chastity. Note that Walter Bahn goes through religious houses throughout the world, under the pretext of teaching music (he is also a Ward Method instructor), to give psychotherapy to some monks or other religious members.

Being still confused by his theory, I soon discovered in a posting on the EWTN’s web site, in the Faith Q&A, a link to an internet site helping homosexuals. I was very glad to read there a completely different theory that no one is born that way, but becomes so through psychological wounds that keep the person in an early stage of psychic development, and that anyone can heal through therapy. The author drew this theory from his own personal experience, having himself changed, finally gotten married and become happy. He also demonstrated that the scientific studies that claimed to show the genetic origin of homosexuality were not consistent. I printed the "page," well… there were more than 20 paper pages. I showed them to Prof. Nestor Sequeiros, who was interested too. Several days later, as Fr. Urrutigoity was saying that it was acknowledged that homosexuality was genetic, I just said "No," and then went to my room to take the printout and show him. He took the pages, and I never saw them back.

COMMENT:

Mr. Girod’s affidavit provides further evidence, if anyone still has any doubts, that Carlos Urrutigoity’s Society of St. John is a homosexual cult. Mr. Girod reports that Fr. Urrutigoity, as the superior general of the SSJ, sent him to an avowed homosexual for spiritual direction. Imagine a superior general sending someone seeking spiritual advice to a "psychotherapist" who feels compelled to reveal his own homosexuality to a "patient" whom he has just met for the first time!

Mr. Girod’s testimony dovetails nicely with the testimony of a SSJ postulant who has revealed that Fr. Daniel Fullerton told him in one of their early meetings that it was "noble" for a homosexual to become a priest. Fr. Fullerton’s remark, like the one reported by Mr. Girod in his affidavit above, was made during a conversation where there was no context for such a comment. Is anyone surprised, then, that Fr. Fullerton continues to lie to donors in order to protect the SSJ's homosexual predator priests?
